Our first release under the “Heatzone” name was announced a couple of days ago. The release is web-only on the new web-label “Italian Hard3rz” by Ipnotika Publishing. With this massive opening of the new web-label, we also want people to understand that this will be our last ever release on Ipnotika and its sublabels. As stated before; Ipnotika is Italian and the Heatzone-sound is Dutch.
I haven’t been in the studio for the last couple of days – it’s simply too damn hot outside 
Oh.. I added the possibility for foreign users to translate my website “on-the-fly” in the bottom of all posts.

I decided to make this site something more than just a blog, so I put up a couple of more pages for you. At the “Studio”-page you will find more information about what kind of equipment (software/hardware) I use. Some might not find this interesting but fortunately some do – including myself 
I also added a “Ask & Discuss”-page. Didn’t know what else to call it? Anyway; It’s purpose is to let you – the users and visitors – ask silly (or not so silly) questions for me and the rest of the world to answer. You can bet your arm I will answer pretty much anything on there as long as it’s suitable for the rest of the world to read.
Make sure to check out the new “Biography”-page too. I put in a picture of myself. Yeah, it wasn’t easy to find one where I wasn’t a) drunk or b) fugly!
I added some new pictures on Flickr. My girlfriend and I were at the beach in Løkken yesterday. It was sunny but still not 100% good, so we decided to spend some time on a restaurant instead.
Today my girlfriend graduated and is now ready to study at the university in September.
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS GOES OUT TO HER

Wow, such a quick update this time. It feels like it was just yesterday I updated last… Oh.. Nevermind
I spent some time updating the Heatzone MySpace, Thomas Ulstrup MySpace and my personal biography on this blog today Also added some new links on the right in the “Social Me” section. Check everything out and listen to the new track “Inner Demons” on the Heatzone MySpace. Can’t wait for the release of it. I also added some new (”Snap Back”) and old (Full Reaction! E.P.) tracks to the Thomas Ulstrup MySpace and deleted some non-trance tracks aswell.
I also want to say I’m really really really sorry about “spamming” all of the users on my blog with no less than 4 emails earlier today. The blog is supposed to send an email everytime I add a new post to the blog and unfortunately I was testing out some Flickr-stuff which resulted in 4 emails for everyone – SORRY!
Now on with the good stuff… The flash and design for our Heatzone-website is finished! A big thank you has to go out to Coen for the design/flash and QreativeDesign for the coding.

A big “sorry” goes out to all the people expecting “Bungiebox” and “Reflection” to be released for free! I will tell you why and what we do in return…
A couple of weeks ago we decided to release “Bungiebox” and “Reflection” for free download on the internet. This is, however, not going to happen. We have decided that the track is going to be released on a new web-only Ipnotika-label. So we thought a bit about it and thought; What can we do in return of our “mistake”? Well.. We decided to release it as a 3-tracker. It will of course include “Bungiebox” and “Reflection” – but also the new “Inner Demons” (link).
I do not have a release-date yet, so please don’t ask about it!
I can also tell you that I’m working on a new trance-track. Hopefully it’ll be released along with “Snap Back” (link) and “Snap Back (Paul Ercossa Remix)”. The new track is going to be a bit more trancy than my other tracks. I have been very much inspired by trance from around year 2000. Huge filtered melody-buildups I can’t wait to hear what people think about it.

First of all, I want to make something clear for everyone; Yes, the release of “Bungiebox” and “Reflection” thas was supposed to be released on DBS (Ipnotika) has been cancelled.
One main reason led to this decision; The label is italian – the Heatzone sound is dutch I want to thank Gerardo for helping me get into the hardstyle-business in 2005. Without his help I wouldn’t have come this far. BUT.. Soon “Bungiebox” and “Reflection” will be released as free to download on the major hardstyle-communities (Screamer-Hardstyle, GlobalHardstyle and HardstylersUnited) and of course on my website. We will release one track at a time over a period of 2 months. For the not-so-mathematical ones; 1 track per month in 2 months = 2 tracks 
Chapter 1 is over… Now we will begin writing the next chapter in the Heatzone “book”.
And with that statement, I want to share something realllllllyyyyyy old with you. I have made a small package containing 11 different music-productions from me – wow! These productions have never been finished, so they’re unfinished short previews. Some of them are better than the others. I just wanted to share the good old stuff with you to show what I have made in the earlier days. All tracks are from around year 2004/2005 where I started producing hardstyle. I decided to upload the package to Rapidshare. You can see the download-link in the below (requires registered user on the blog).

Phew.. Yet another weekend has almost passed. Yesterday (saturday) there was a carnival in town. Oh god. All those people spamming the streets with their… presence. Hehe. I didn’t attend the carnival myself. I’m getting old… Well.. Not really. I just don’t like carnivals.
I have some news for you about the release of “Bungiebox” and “Reflection”. The mastering of the tracks has been really slow because of technical difficulties by the guy who is mastering them. But.. Now we’re back on track and hopefully the vinyl will be released as the next DBS although we don’t know that for sure yet.
Paul Ercossa is still working on the remix of “Thomas Ulstrup – Snap Back” but already I have gotten quite some feedback on my original track, so I’m expecting this one to be massive release really. Hopefully the buyers will agree It’s a combination of some dark techtrance and some uplifting/bigroom trance – very weird, but it sounds really good indeed. Paul Ercossa remix is 100% his style. Tribalizzzzzzzed percussion and a VERY deep and dark bassline. Can’t wait to hear his finished version! Will be released on Redux Red – same as my first trance release (”Reaction E.P.”).
I’m still waiting for the Heatzone.nl-website to be finished. Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait… Also; You should definitely check out all the gigs we have planned at www.heatzone.nl/partyflock. Some of the gigs are pretty massive and includes some really great djs/producers.
For the record, I can tell you that I am working on a new YouTube-video. Well.. At least it’s in the idea-making-machine. I still have to figure out whether it will be hardstyle- or trance-related. I don’t know yet but I will figure it out

Ah. The first real post in my first real blog – how nice is that? Just wanted to give you all a quick update about what’s going on right now:
- Still waiting for Coen / QreativeDesign to finish the website for our new project “Heatzone”. Small teaser-pic can be seen at www.heatzone.nl
- Finished my new trancetrack called “Snap Back” a while ago. Paul Ercossa is almost finished with his remix too.
- Finished new hardstyletracks called “Bungiebox” and “Reflection”. Both tracks are currently being mastered.
- Working on new tracks of course
Today I spent some time updating myself on all the weird social networking sites that are out there. I think you should check out the links in my “Links”-sidebar. Check out the pictures at Flickr or add me as a friend on Facebook – I need more friends for “Restaurant City”.. HAHAAAA. Kidding.
Oh, and yeah – my girlfriend and I have been playing a lot of retro-games on the X360 lately. Check out the awweeeesomenessss in the pic below:
