November 16th update

First of all I want to thank every single one of you who supported my “Snap Back” release. Thank you!
Secondly I’d like to apologize for not keeping you updated about my life and music. Life hasn’t been very kind to me lately (read: the stupid flu).

It’s a very busy time for me at the moment; I’m working on new Heatzone-tracks and new Thomas Ulstrup tracks and remixes. Yesterday I finished my remix of “Mads Skov – Wonderfool” (Yes, “fool” ;-) ) which ended up very very very very good I believe. Some minimal-kinda kick and percussion combined with a heavy bassline. The lead is.. well.. how can I describe it? VERY techy and reverbed into hell!!

Some time ago I uploaded a new video for my YouTube fans (I’ve got 124 subscribers at the moment, yay!). In the video I show off the new “Thomas Ulstrup – Crossover” which is also some kind of techtrance with a more minimal kick and percussion. You can check out the track at the end of the post. I’m still working on the track, but I’m pretty sure it will be a bigroom banger – just like the “Wonderfool” remix. I’m a huge sucker for bigroom tracks.

Oh yeah, I recently upgraded my main pc to Windows 7 and ohhhhhh do I love it!! I’m absolutely going to be upgrading my studio pc as soon as I want to spend 5+ hours installing everything needed afterwards. Sigh.

Thomas.

Busy, busy, busy, busy!

Wow. So much time since I last updated and yet it feels like yesterday.

I’ve been really really really busy lately with my Heatzone-project and when I’m not working on Heatzone-tracks, I’m trying to finish up some loose ends in some trance- and house-productions.

The release of “Thomas Ulstrup – Snap Back” is getting closer and closer. Promotion of the 2 tracks will probably begin this week or next week – I’m not 100% sure yet. I’m sure my fans (and others) will love this track. It’s a massive bomb with a hard electro-like sidechained dry bassline, a massive “stabby” techtrance synth and.. well.. the leadpart is just amazing! Huge squarelead combined with a massive melody = GREAT!

Any Heatzone news this time? Well, not really. As some of you might have noticed, www.heatzone.nl is now online. All future Heatzone-news will be available on the official website only. This website will, of course, still continue to be my personal blog and website.

As I mentioned in the first bit, I’m currently working on some house-projects also – 2 actually. Tomorrow my good friend EsbenB will be joining me in the studio. We have to finish some underground house/minimal/electro tracks for him! On saturday, Mads Skov from the hardstyle group Carnifex will be joining me in the studio aswell – also to work on some house. Mads and I have joined forces to produce some commercial electro club-bangers. This is a fairly new project, so it will still take some time before we have anything for you to listen to.

I’m currently having a week off work so I can spend some time in the studio..

A lot of things are going on at the moment… But..

STAY TUNED!

Sorry for the delayed update!

First of all I want to say I’m sorry about the much delayed update. I’ve had a lot of things on my mind (+ being ill, sigh) lately, so I haven’t been able to update before now.

The release of “Heatzone – Bungiebox” went very well. I’ve been following some topics around the big forums and in general, people are satisfied with the release – great! I’m glad everyone likes the tracks. It gives me a lot of motivation for the new tracks I’m working on ;-)

I’m currently working on some new Heatzone- and Thomas Ulstrup-tracks. “Heatzone – Prototype” has gotten a new midintro which has better drive and is less complicated.. Oh.. And it also sounds better! Another Heatzone-track, which has no title yet, is also in the making. This track is a lot darker and has a harder kick than Prototype, which is more “light” and trancy.

This weekend we will be attending Summer Angel festival in Denmark. Friday is for drinking, saturday is for playing :D We will be testing some new stuff, so be sure not to miss it. We hope to meet a lot of great party people!

Well.. That’s it! I’m out. Frequencerz and Heatzone will be in studio tonight making kickass tracks ;-)
